Our Foundation
Lincoln Heritage Funeral Planning and all of the Londen Companies were founded on service. When Jack Londen decided to form his own life insurance company at 28 years of age, his main motivating factor was that he was not receiving good service from the company he represented. He knew that the key to success was prompt, friendly, accurate service.

What was true over 40 years ago is even truer today. Now we see more and more companies where it is virtually impossible to talk to a person. Unless you are adept at working your way through a maze of automated instructions to obtain the answers you need, you are simply out of luck.

Our Mission
At Lincoln Heritage, we use the personal touch and are dedicated to helping our customers. Live people, who answer each and every phone call.

We are also dedicated to remaining privately held. More and more, publicly held companies do ill-advised and even outrageous things in order to pump up their quarterly earnings. There is always pressure to do something, even if it is wrong. With us, you have the stability of knowing that we are looking out over the next one or two generations, not the next one or two quarters. That is a big difference when deciding whom you can trust with one of life’s most important decisions.

We have three sets of customers, all equally important—our policyholders and their families, the thousands of funeral homes who graciously serve those families, and our lifeline to the field, the Regional Consultant and Family Service Counselor.

Our policyholders and the funeral homes that service them are vital to our business. It is critical that we are available to both of them when they write or call for an answer to any and all of their questions.

Lincoln Heritage is licensed and operating in 49 States, The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada

Starting in 1963 and operating in one state, Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company now operates in the majority of North America. Chairman and CEO, Jack Londen, travels the nation frequently meeting with Regional Consultants and Family Service Counselors. This personal touch by the chairman has helped field associates greatly improve their productivity and even helped a few to become millionaires.

Our Financial Stability
Total Assets have grown steadily since 1971. Growing assets are the results of wise investing coupled with sound financial management. We are proud that the assets of Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company have grown over 330 fold since 1971.

Premium Income has increased steadily since 1971. Increasing premium income is essential to the growth and stability of an insurance company. Increased production and steady improvement in persistency have resulted in an increase of over 170 times the premium income collected in 1971.

Capital and Surplus is largely proportional to the income of an insurance company. A good steady growth of capital and surplus allows a company to expand its production thus increasing the amount of policyholders it may serve. Since 1971 we have experienced a controlled growth rate of capital and surplus enabling us to serve many policyholders and remain a financially strong company.

Policyholder Benefits is the primary reason that an insurance company exists. The satisfaction that is derived from helping people in their hour of need is beyond description. We pride ourselves on our 24-hour claim service. As you will discover, we are committed to be there offering a helping hand. Our policy benefits paid have increased from $59,900 in 1971 to over $58 million in 2001.

Insurance In Force is an important measure of how many people have put their trust in an insurance company, actually their independent agent, to be there when the family will need it most. We are proud that the amount of trust has increased from $5 million in 1971 to $2 billion in the year 2001.
